Dakota officially moved across the floor on Wednesday night. I was so surprised to see what I did when I got home from my volleyball game. He is crawling so early! It's actually more like a military crawl in the video, but just two days later, he is a lot faster! I can't believe he is crawling before 8 months old. Sadie didn't do it till 9 and a half! I definitely will not be able to hide now!

Mule Days 2010
I am not going to bore you by telling you what Mule Days is. If you really want to know, google it! It's a town celebration that I grew up in and have built many memories. Now my kids are enjoying it with Nana, Papa, Aunt Amanda, and Thomas! It starts with a parade and follows with lotssssssssssssss of horses, good food, and of course a bag of cotton candy!
Happy Baby!
Dakota is seriously one of the happiest babies I have EVER seen! I am so blessed to have had such wonderful babies (but don't worry, that doesn't make me want more)! One of Dakota's favorite things to do is take a bath! He loves it when the tub is filling up with water. Here is a cute picture of him playing and he sat up all on his on! He just splashes his feet and talks loud! So adorable!
Sadie's First Stepping Stone!
We starting doing a chore chart with Sadie a few weeks ago! She actually loves doing it. We then reward her with something if she can achieve our goal of 20 stars in one week. Well of course Nana and Papa came right on board with this. Nana got Sadie a TinkerBell Stepping Stone to make. She was so excited and she made it from scratch. TinkerBell is a little distorted, but hopefully you can get the point. Just look for here ponytail and that will give it away! Enjoy!

We are the Pirates of ECU, HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pirates are 2-0, what can we say???????????? Another wonderful day with family and friends. We hung out with Rod and Natalie tailgating before the game and then went and got our purple seat for the game. It was so much fun. Dakota and Sadie joined us this week and they LOVED it. They did such a wonderful job for 6 hours with no nap. Well, Dakota did slip in a nap during the game in the stands. I love having such good children so much! Thank you LORD for blessing me with two good ones. Sadie and Dakota had so much fun. Sadie did all the chants and as you can see in the pictures she had a blast! Walking back to the car, she was yelling PURPLE and someone else would say GOLD and on and on and on!!!!! I love having a pirate family!
Pirates are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes we were definitely at the game when ECU beat Tulsa on the hell-mary throw half across the football field. It was so awesome. I can't even describe how much fun JJ and I had together that day. It was like old times hanging out at the game. Mom and Dad kept Sadie and Dakota, so there was nothing to worry about and it was back and forth the entire football game. What a great day! Thanks Nana and Papa!
Summer has come and gone!
Well the summer has come and gone and we are off to a good start at school! It's been a fun summer learning to swim and do new things. We were so proud for Sadie to learn how to swim at age three. In the slideshow below you will see our last trip to the pool at the Cookes, Dakota swinging on his swing in our backyward (which is absolutely loved), and Dakota taking a sink bath (which almost drove me insane)! Enjoy!
Dakota at 6 and 7 months old!
Gosh, I really have gotten behind on Dakota! He is doing so great. Growing up so quickly. It really seems as if time is going by so much quicker with him. At his 6 month check up, he weighed 16lbs and believe it or not that was on the 25%. Of course his BIG head was on the 75%. I guess that means he will be real smart....must be taking after his daddy on that one! He is babbling and just this past week he said "dada" for the first time. Of course his daddy just lights up everytime he says it! I know, he will eventually say mama sometime......be patient, right? He has 7 teeth (yes you heard me correctly). He is rolling over and over and over. He sits up really good and he loves to play with toys. He is starting to enter the peek-a-boo stage which his sister is SUPER excited about! Before we know it he will be crawling. He is also eating solids now. He has tried about everything and the only thing he doesn't like is peas......he hates them! Guess what his favorite is............SQUASH.......yes you heard me......gross, but he LOVES IT. He actually throws a complete temper tantrum when the container is empty, he wants two of the squash. Here's an adorable picture that was taken just last week! He is really the happiest baby I have ever seen. I have also attached two videos...one of him just being happy and expressing himself and the other of him saying "dada". Stay tuned for more pics!
