Happy Dance!

All I can say is HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What have we created?????????????????????

Jake and Dakota!

This was just a cute picture of Lisa Ellis's little boy and Dekota. They're 4 weeks apart and his name is Jake!
Dadddy turned 60 last week! We all threw him a surprise 60th birthday party. It took so much work, but boy was it worth it. My daddy was surprised more than you could possibly imagine. One of his buddies and offered to take him to his favorite mexican restaurant, but first they had to go to a memorial service for one of his friends who had passed. At least that's what daddy thought. He drives up to go to a memorial service and walks in to SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it! He was surrounded by lots of friends and family. One of his friends even sang him a song and I wrote a poem and read that to him. I really feel like he was truly touched. Oh yeah, and Sadie sang Happy Birthday to him in front of all those people with a microphone (Sara Beth helped a little:))! I was totally shocked by that one! What a great night, it was worth all the hard work!

Here is Sadie's first singing experience live!

Then if it wasn't enough, we woke up the next day for Daddy's birthday and he wanted to grill out hot dogs and make homemade ice cream and have people over again. Was he trying to kill his wife????????

Dakota learning to play!

I have been trying to teach Dakota that there is more to life than eating, sleeping, and pooping. Well, yesterday he actually gave it a try for 15 minutes. He just looked at the toys and listened to the music. It was so cute!

Sadie loves Nana's Dresses!

Sadie loves to wear dresses. She wants to even wear the nice one to daycare, but we've about broke her of that one. Here is the newest dress from Nana and she loves to twirl in it. It's funny, she got ready and she said, my nana thinks I am precious. Then she immediately informed me that she was to wear another hair bow because it matched better (the one she is wearing). I think we have our hands full!

Johnston's to visit!

Grandaddy Mike, Grandma Kim, and Jacob came to visit this past weekend. They brought the kids some goodies from their cruise. Sadie got a t-shirt and a straw purse with her name on it and Dakota got a bank. Here are some cute pictures from their visit!

Chilly trip to the beach!

Nana was on spring break last week and her and Nannie decided to go to Myrtle Beach and relax. Well, since I am still on maternity leave, we decided to go as well. I packed up the car along with Dakota and Sadie and we were off. I must say it was a little tough driving (not because of the kids, but my incision), so we made several stops. All in all it was a fun quick trip. Of course Sadie always bring humor into every situation. When we got there, she was looking at the ocean and she said that was the biggest pond she had ever seen. I guess that is a little bit of red-neck in her---------------thanks papa! Here are a few cute pictures of Sadie! I just hope she isn't going to be scared of the water this summer!

Jumping Party #1!

Sadie has been honored to attend two jumping birthday parties for the past two weekends. The first one was for our cousin Logan (who is just a couple months older than Sadie). The second one was for our neighbor Bella. These were both lot's fun and a great way to entertain everyone easily.

One Month Old

Last Wednesday Dakota turned one month old! He had his doctor's appointment and of course a shot, but everything went great. He weighed 8lbs 11oz and he was 21 inches long. He growth was around the 35th percentile and all is good! Here is a cute picture just before we went to the doctor. I just love this outfit on him!!!

First Bath

Okay, so this is two weeks old, but this was Dakota's first bath. He wasn't too fond of it to begin with!
First Bath Before Being Fed!

Second Bath and we decided to feed him first this time!
